5 easy ways to make smoothies with your own portable blender

Smoothies are a great way to stay healthy. They are packed with nutrients, vitamins and minerals. But sometimes it can be hard to find the time or the ingredients to make a smoothie.

Luckily, you can now buy your own portable blender and make smoothies on the go!

A portable blender usually has the base and container integrated into one unit.

Smoothies are easy to make, and in this article I’ll share five simple ways to make smoothies with your own portable blender.

1) Make your own recipes

You can create your own smoothie recipes by adding ingredients like bananas, strawberries, spinach, avocado, etc. If you want something more filling or have a sweet tooth, you can also add things like peanut butter or protein powder for extra protein.

2) Use pre-made recipes

There are many websites that offer free pre-made smoothie recipes that you can use as inspiration to create your own! Some of my personal favorites are the Fresh Fruit Smoothie and the Tropical Kick Smoothie.

3) Use frozen fruit

If you want your smoothie to be cold, you can use frozen fruit. Frozen fruit gives the smoothie a melt-in-your-mouth consistency that is perfect for summer!

4) Use yoghourt

Yogurt is a great ingredient for making any type of smoothie, as it provides the right amount of thickness without adding too much sugar or calories. Simply add yoghurt as the first ingredient in your blender!

5) Use other ingredients

Protein powder: This can be added to any type of fruit or vegetable smoothie. 

Peanut butter:  With a little unsweetened almond milk and protein powder, you can create a deliciously smooth and energizing peanut butter banana shake!

The recipe is based on using 1 cup of milk and 3/4 cup of water, but if you want more liquid than that, you can add more milk or water and adjust.

Chia pudding

You can make chia seed pudding at home, but it’s also easy to simply add chia seeds to your mix.

Spinach

Spinach can be added to almost any smoothie, it works particularly well with fruit-based smoothies such as a strawberry-banana shake.

Remember, blenders are not just for making smoothies. They can be used to make everything from salsa to sauces, dressings and desserts. 

This way you can vary your fruit and vegetable intake. 

Example of how to eat fruit and vegetables throughout the day:

– In the morning: fresh fruit juice on the way to work. With your portable blender, it will be quick and easy to have a fresh juice. 

– At lunch: vegetables and raw vegetables added to your meal. 

– 4pm: Fruit for snack

– Dinner: Why not a vegetable soup finely blended with your blender.
